For which destination countries is the northern route relevant?

The northern route is mainly relevant for transports to Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries when Russia transit is possible.

The northern route is mainly relevant for transports to Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries when transport via Russia is possible, permitted and operationally reasonable. Depending on the destination, the route via Russia can provide a direct connection to Kazakhstan and from there onward to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan or other Central Asian countries.

Whether this route can be used depends on the respective goods, current transit and sanctions requirements, customs requirements, consignee country and specific transport relation. A theoretically short route is not automatically the best or legally suitable solution.

The required review of goods, export eligibility, permits and possible legal restrictions is the responsibility of the sender, exporter or client. GLOBALSPED takes the information provided into account for transport-related route and process planning.
