Which documents are required for transports via the southern or northern route?

For transports to Central Asia, complete goods, transport and customs documents are generally required. Depending on shipment and destination country, these may include commercial invoice, packing list, CMR consignment note, loading list, export accompanying document, transit documents, proofs of origin, preference documents, safety data sheets, permits or other goods-related documents.

Which documents are specifically required depends on goods, destination country, route, customs procedure, goods value, origin, delivery term and consignee requirements. On the southern route, additional coordination may be required due to several transit countries and the ferry connection across the Caspian Sea. On the northern route, transit-related and legal framework conditions in particular must be checked.

Goods documents such as commercial invoice, packing list and product-related documents must be provided by the sender, exporter or client.
