What is an EAD in export?

An EAD is the export accompanying document for goods exported from the EU to a third country and includes, among other things, the MRN.

An EAD is an export accompanying document and accompanies goods that are exported from the European Union to a third country. It is created as part of the electronic export declaration and includes, among other things, the MRN number for clear tracking of the export process.

An EAD generally becomes relevant when an export declaration is required for a shipment. Whether this is the case depends, among other factors, on goods value, weight, type of goods, destination country and possible permit or restriction requirements.

For international transports, the EAD is important because it plays a central role at the office of exit and throughout the export process. GLOBALSPED can arrange the creation of an EAD as part of transport handling when all required information is fully available.
