When is special transport required?
Special transport is required when size, weight, sensitivity, dangerous goods or specific requirements make standard transport unsuitable.
Special transport is required when goods cannot be handled as standard transport due to size, weight, sensitivity, dangerous goods classification or specific requirements. This includes machinery, plant components, oversized parts, temperature-sensitive products or safety-critical goods.
For international special transports, customs, transit countries, permits, route checks and documentation must also be considered. For transports to Central Asia, the Caucasus or the Middle East, early technical and logistics assessment is particularly important.
GLOBALSPED evaluates special transports on a shipment-specific basis and coordinates transport type, route, documents and possible risks individually.
