What is meant by a low-value export declaration?

Low-value export declaration usually refers to small consignments where simplifications may be possible under certain conditions.

A low-value export declaration usually refers to export shipments that are below certain value and weight thresholds and may therefore be declared in a simplified way under specific conditions. In practice, the term is often used for small consignments.

Whether an electronic export declaration is required does not depend only on invoice value and weight. Statistical value, type of goods, destination country, permit requirements, embargoes or special restrictions may also be decisive. A small consignment should therefore not automatically be considered unproblematic from a customs perspective.

GLOBALSPED supports customers with the transport-related review of which information is required for export. The final assessment must always be based on the specific shipment data.
