What is a T1 document in international transport?

A T1 document enables customs-supervised transit of certain goods and can be relevant for international road freight transport.

A T1 document is a customs transit procedure that enables certain goods to be transported under customs supervision. It is often used when goods are moved in transit without being fully customs-cleared at every border.

In international road freight transport, a T1 document may be relevant depending on customs status, route and customs requirements. Especially for transports across several countries toward Central Asia, the Caucasus or the Middle East, it should be checked early which transit documents are required.

GLOBALSPED supports companies with the coordination of required customs documents and takes T1-related requirements into account as part of transport planning.
