Dangerous goods
Is Limited Quantity the same as the 1000-point rule?
Limited Quantity and the 1000-point rule are different ADR simplifications with different requirements.
Limited Quantity and the 1000-point rule are not the same. Both can relate to ADR simplifications, but they are based on different requirements.
Under the 1000-point rule, the dangerous goods quantity per transport unit is calculated using transport category, quantity and factor. Limited Quantity, on the other hand, concerns limited quantities per inner packaging and package as well as suitable packaging and marking.
For a transport request, it must therefore be clear whether the sender declares the goods as ADR under 1000 points, as LQ, as EQ or as a fully ADR-regulated shipment. GLOBALSPED plans the transport based on this information.
